With their recent major player injuries I can't see Wales getting out of the group stages. My money is on the All Blacks.

When I was at Pennyhill Park the other day they asked me to join the squad. I said no.

I've not be able to see any of the warm-up games, but what I'm hearing about England's scrum is cause for concern.

It is Antly, but we are England. We are superior in every aspect, as rugby players, as competitors, as men.

Value bet is Ireland at 3/1 to reach the final.
They only have to beat england, I don't mean that in a insulting way, we are back to back 6 nations champions and the draw suits us, two handy games first, then Italy then france, once we're out of the group its most likely england in the semis I think. That game will be a toss of a coin
Curveball bet : Fiji to get out of the group 33/1 !

Hear what you're saying Irish, but I think the thing England have in our favour is a history of stepping up when it's world cup time (last times shambles aside) and we are the only one of the home nations who has been able to compete with SH sides over the years. Plus we are at home, and if we get it together, we are a very, very hard side to beat at Twickenham.
Admittedly, bookies wise England are always stupid odds, but I'd be backing us before any other home nation side.
BOKS will take some beating at 6/1, and France at 16/1 would be the best value bet for me.

didn't see that France price Eerie, thats a good punt, France always bring it in the WC, unless of course they are against the ABs in the final and the ref disgustingly cheats them out of the trophy

Yep, and they can be genuinely majestic when they're on it. England always seem to have their number at HQ, though.
One thing's for sure, it'll be a much better, more attacking, entertaining, closer World Cup than the borefest of 2011, and Ireland definitely have their best chance ever.

If we still had Drico and Darcy I'd be really hopefully of winning it
Payne is the only 13 in world rugby that never ever crosses the gainline and never does anything creative. For that reason, I'm out

This is going to be a GREAT thread.
Apart from this post, I'm not going to say a word on it until the RWC starts, unless of course someone posts directly to me, and then I will respond to anyone except Eerie Descent, the gutless wonder, who says he doesn't bet on his country when I offer him a bet, then says he's placed a bet with a bookie.
The pressure on that England side must be mounting by the day.
Excellent.
We'll talk again in a week or so.
